Chris George demonstrates the 1990's DSL1 combo.
The JCM2000 DSL100 Dual Super Lead earned a reputation as the ‘go-to rock amp’ of the ’90s. Although this was a time when the evolution of rock music was diverging, as grunge and britpop burst onto the scene, but classic rock remained strong – the DSL100 still had cross-genre appeal. The DSL100 was master of them all, and was hailed by critics as the ‘ultimate Marshall’.
And just like the DSL100 the all-valve DSL1C combo can straddle vintage and modern tones, making it incredibly flexible. It has a few more features than the DSL100 too, including dual footswitchable Classic Gain and Ultra Gain channels (footswitch supplied), a Tone shift to scoop the mids, a Deep switch for resonant bass boost, a Series FX Loop, and an Emulated Line out.
The DSL1C also has a Low Power switch which drops power down to 0.1 Watt, so you can have awesome DSL tone at practice volume.
The single 8″ Celestion G8C-15 speaker performs equally well at high or low volume.
